🌱 The Belega Bamboo Eco-School
Over the past two years, we’ve been building our Eco-school in Belega Village — as part of our 3 week, 3 month and VIP programs. This will be an inclusive eco-education space where my daughter Freyr and other families can share in daily creative life through bamboo craft, natural building, and cultural exchange. Located just 40 minutes southeast of Ubud, our eco-school offers workshops that bring people together to learn bamboo carpentry, design, and sustainable construction directly from Balinese master craftsmen. Participants can join one-day sessions, weekend stays, or immersive multi-day programs.
Meet your teacher and choose from a range of topics or choose your own… and embark on a bamboo-making journey for::
- 🪵 Bamboo Biasa — a one-day hands-on carpentry workshop
- 🎋 Bamboo Awesomeness — a three-day creative journey
- 🌾 Sprout to Serenade — a four-day family-friendly course building playgrounds and musical instruments
- 🏗️ Bamboo Immersion — a six-day stay combining design, treatment, and small-structure building
- 🧠 Model Design & Mentoring — for aspiring bamboo designers and builders
- 🏡 Three-Week Intensive Build — a full-scale group construction experience
All packages are valid for five years and can be gifted or booked flexibly.
Learn to use essential tools and techniques to create with bamboo – from a small item, like a stool or plant holder, to an entire structure with bamboo master-craftsmen; and experience village-life with us! Spend the night in one of our eco-structures, with availability for the night before your workshop so you can start fresh in the morning, or for the night following. Our booking dates are flexible, allowing you to secure your spot now or pre-pay to lock in the current discount rate during our fundraising season.
You can stay in our Tarzan Tower (1 Queen Bed) or Radical Roundhouse (1 Queen Bed; up to 3 single beds).
Workshop time: (9.30am to 4.30pm)
Group Size: 1-5 pax.
Topics: 1 bamboo item per package.
Inclusions: – Basic tools and materials included; additional expenses for extended projects. – Water, Tea & Coffee, Light snacks.
Exclusions: Meals are additional fee (pre-order from Menu or sourced independently). Validity: Until April 2030.
